「因此我必誘導她，領她到曠野，對她的心說話；從那裡我必賜她葡萄園。」－何西阿書2:14-15
孤單寂寞的野地裡，真的可以找到我們魂裡渴慕得著，卻尋覓不著的事物嗎？
神給我們的答案顯然是肯定的。不僅如此，代表苦難的「亞割谷」，竟被稱為指望的門。「她必在那裏應聲，與她幼年的日子一樣」（何西阿書2:15）！
不錯，神相當清楚我們需要有曠野的經歷。祂曉得何處能在我們的性情裡，孕育永不磨滅的品格。
雖然我們的心隨從偶像、忘記真神，雖然我們的心常叛逆任性的說：「我要隨從所愛的人」（何西阿書2:5）。
但神願意等候，直到我們遭逢棄絕、不再心存盼望時，祂才出面對我們說：「我必誘導她，領她到曠野，對她的心說話」。
我們的神真是何等慈愛啊！

我們不會知道神將祂的泉源藏在何地。
到了泉水深埋之地，我們只看得見上頭的岩石。
唯有藉著神領我們進入艱苦的環境，我們的眼睛才得開啟，知道原來那裡竟埋藏了永遠生命的泉源。

"I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness?And I will give her her vineyards from thence" (Hosea 2:14-15).A strange place to find vineyards--in the wilderness! And can it be that the riches which a soul needs can be obtained in the wilderness, which stands for a lonely place, out of which you can seldom find your way? It would seem so, and not only that, but the "Valley of Achor," which means bitterness, is called a door of hope. And she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth!
Yes, God knows our need of the wilderness experience. He knows where and how to bring out that which is enduring. The soul has been idolatrous, rebellious; has forgotten God, and with a perfect self-will has said, "I will follow after my lovers." But she did not overtake them. And, when she was hopeless and forsaken, God said, "I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her." What a loving God is ours! --Crumbs
We never know where God hides His pools. We see a rock, and we cannot guess it is the home of the spring. We see a flinty place, and we cannot tell it is the hiding place of a fountain. God leads me into the hard places, and then I find I have gone into the dwelling place of eternal springs. --Selected
