他的確是出於一片好意；那時路面顛簸，載著約櫃的牛車就要翻覆，他便伸出手來扶穩。
然而這雙手未經許可地觸碰了神的工作，於是在一瞬間癱瘓麻痺，失去生息。
信心生活裡最主要的事，就是放手讓神負責。
若我們已將一件事全然的交給神，就必須將手撤回，相信祂會保守一切，因為祂的手比我們的手作得更好。
詩篇37篇7節說：「你當在耶和華面前靜默，耐心等候祂；不要因那道路亨通的，和那惡謀成就的，忿忿不平。」也許情勢越變越遭，但祂和我們一樣心知肚明；祂會在所定的時間顯出祂的作為－前提是只要我們願意交託，讓祂按著祂的方式和時間來處理一切。
在許多事上最好的處理方式，就是不要處理；若我們在旁忙亂不休，反而會壞了神一手安排的好事。

"Neither know we what to do; but our eyes are, upon thee" (2 Chron. 20:12).A life was lost in Israel because a pair of human hands were laid unbidden upon the ark of God. They were placed upon it with the best intent, to steady it when trembling and shaking as the oxen drew it along the rough way; but they touched God's work presumptuously, and they fell paralyzed and lifeless. Much of the life of faith consists in letting things alone.
If we wholly trust an interest to God, we must keep our hands off it; and He will guard it for us better than we can help Him. "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass."
Things may seem to be going all wrong, but He knows as well as we; and He will arise in the right moment if we are really trusting Him so fully as to let Him work in His own way and time. There is nothing so masterly as inactivity in some things, and there is nothing so hurtful as restless working, for God has undertaken to work His sovereign will. --A. B. Simpson
